To celebrate Sophie being home 2 months and to get in a trip before the oil slick hit Orange Beach, we decided to take a trip to the beach. We weren't sure if Sophie would like the boat, sand, and water, but she did! The vastness of the water was a little overwhelming to her as we walked along the beach, but otherwise, she did great. She and her big cousin, Amy, played in the sand under the umbrella and then Baba played with her for a while too.
We were very surprised that she was not afraid of the boat. Normally, she cries when she's never done something before, but she took the boat in stride. We did let her play in the boat while it was still on land, so that may have helped.
We had a blast and can't wait to go back!
